The realm text is also used for the Bonjour name that SecuritySpy registers on the local network for its web server. Bonjor is a method of "zero configuration" network setup, which makes it easy to attach and find devices on a network. To discover Bonjor-registered network devices in Safari, you need to go to Bookmarks and click on the Bonjour section - the following image shows the Safari Bookmarks window which has discovered several devices on the network, including the SecuritySpy web server which is entitled "My Web Server":
SecuritySpy offers the ability to easily look at camera video and audio on smartphones. I use an iPhone and now and am running the new SecuritySpy for iOS, Apple TV, etc. This free companion really broadens the usefulness of the security system.
Don't set the key frame rate too high. Beyond around 40-50, the bandwidth improvements are minimal, and streams with higher key frame rates are more difficult for SecuritySpy to process (resulting in more memory and CPU usage). Also, using a low key frame rate means that any corruption in the video stream (e.g. due to temporary network difficulties) will be short-lived.
